The public bar and restaurant at the Old Loans Inn centres around the authentic fireplace which was painstakingly recreated out of stone from the original building. Using wonderful Scottish produce from the local Ayrshire larder the team at the Old Loans Inn have created inspiring dishes and snacks to enjoy all day every day. The quality of product and service was recognised when Tam Cowan, the Daily Record's Restaurant critic of the Year, gave the Old Loans Inn an "unbeatable 25/25" after his visit.
Restaurant and Bar
The restaurant and bar is accessed by stairs from reception or directly from the car park to the rear of The Old Loans Inn.
The warm ambiance around the bar and restaurant are immediately apparent the moment you walk through the door. Solid oak wood finish, warm reds, browns and a hint of contemporary tartan - not to mention commissioned golf images - helps create the warm welcoming environment.
The horseshoe-shaped bar provides both a focal point and space to escape to, while the wall canvasses and etched glass have all been individually commissioned to set Old Loans Inn apart.
As for the food? Well, it's what you've come to expect from a SimpsInns restaurant. We offer a wide range of dishes and cuisine; all prepared using fresh local produce and presented creatively by our dedicated team of friendly professionals.
You can select from Famous Fish Suppers or Famous Pies that would surely be fit for cartoon hero Desperate Dan himself! ALternatively why not choose from a wide range of Bar Snacks, Starters and Snacks, Main Course dishes or something from the Chargrill and finished off with a treat from our delicious Dessert selection.

Alfresco Dining
If the sun's out, where better to enjoy a relaxing drink with friends or family than in the sheltered and (suprisingly often) sun-drenched sunken beer garden and terrace at the rear of the building.
Integrated into the overall design, the terrace flows seamlessly into the inside areas and creates a fantastically relaxing space to spend some quality time.
Relax on the wicker chairs and tables, have your order brought out to you and make the most of those sunny summer days; equally wonderful for alfresco dining; enjoy a glass of Rose with the girls or a quiet pint with the boys after the golf.
